Practice-integrated study programme at the Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences
The degree programme is combined with a continuously organised practical activity. The focus is on the practical application knowledge acquired in the company and its link to the course content. At the end of the programme, you will have gained a Bachelor’s degree and a great deal of practical experience.
Studying business informatics is an interdisciplinary programme. The core subjects are economics and computer science. But sciences such as law, sociology and statistics are also relevant. At the HRW, the degree programme is assigned to the Department of Computer Science. This means that the balance swings towards computer science.
Business informatics manages information because it is a decisive competitive factor for companies. It is therefore concerned with the planning, development, implementation, further development and economic use of information and communication systems. IT systems support business processes or contribute to strategic decision-making in companies and institutions.
