Nöchel glass + metal construction

System shopfitting with character and individuality

In its almost 100-year company history, Nöchel glass + metal construction has specialised in shop windows and entrance areas in particular and has built up a special reputation in this field – throughout Europe. The specialists’ expertise ranges from design and project planning to in-house production, installation, maintenance and repair – from simple shop façades to complete entrance areas with fully automatic door systems in shopping centres and street locations.

Nöchel Glas + metal construction was founded in 1925 by Friedrich Nöchel as a glazier’s business. From small beginnings, the company developed into a medium-sized metal construction company with 30 employees. The great-grandson of the company founder, Marcus Nöchel, is now at the helm. The 5th generation is now working in the company.

For Marcus Nöchel, supporting the process organisation with integrated software solutions is an essential prerequisite for meeting the increased requirements in the future.

Nöchel opted for E·R·Plus due to the programme structure, which is specifically designed for metal construction, and the consistency in all areas of the company. The perfect interaction of personnel planning, material planning, financial planning and accounting was just as decisive as the integration with the LogiKal calculation and design programme from Orgadata used at Nöchel. The use of shared data reduces the potential for errors enormously. Elements that are created in LogiKal are automatically available in E·R·Plus and vice versa.

E·R·Plus is used across the board for the entire operational process. E·R·Plus is used in the commercial area, from quotation preparation to order processing and invoicing to open item management and dunning. The availability of parts lists from the LogiKal design program is the basis for determining requirements in order to optimize inquiries and orders. For post-calculation and the permanent target/actual comparison, the production and assembly times are assigned to the respective orders in addition to the material costs via invoice verification. The document archive integrated in E·R·Plus also ensures that all documents are available at the touch of a button, eliminating the need for tedious searching in project folders.

The next step planned is the processing of service orders via mobile solutions. With the E·R·Plus – JobManager, service work is recorded directly on site and services are invoiced online at the touch of a button.

“E·R·Plus has significantly improved our access to information. This has both significantly accelerated our internal processes and considerably increased the level of information across teams, which has been reflected in both the quality and efficiency of project management.”
